About
The TECHKON SpectroDrive is an automatic color and density measurement system designed to boost press productivity by ensuring consistent color accuracy throughout a print run. It consists of a motorized scanner that quickly reads the entire color bar on a sheet and sends spectral data wirelessly to a PC, where it can be used to control the press. The system is compatible with any press type or format and comes as a complete turn-key solution.
SpectroDrive can also be used as a hand-held device for spot measurements, with an integrated display showing values directly on the instrument.
Its Windows software, TECHKON ExPresso 4, offers comprehensive tools for measuring CMYK and spot colors, up to 16 print units, face/reverse printing, color density, dot gain, gray balance, Lab* values, and ink adjustment recommendations. The software is modular, expandable, and allows real-time data export to other applications for a full “closed loop” press control solution.
Versions & Functions
The scan-measurement device SpectroDrive and the Windows software ExPresso 5 form a complete quality control system for increasing productivity and quality of a printing press. There are two different packages available. A post-purchase software upgrade from SpectroDrive Basic to the Pro ver sion can be done easily.
Consists of the spectral-measurement device SpectroDrive and the Windows software TECHKON ExPresso 5 Basic with the following functions:
